(This wasn't for an actual client; it was for a class in college.) Maggi is a known brand of instant soups, noodles, and spices that originates in Switzerland since the late 19th century. Nestlé gained the Maggi business in 1947.
I was requested to develop packaging that uses less plastic, is eco-friendly, and encourages the company to be more environmentally conscious.
This was an individual project.
Packaging Design
I've picked Maggi's instant noodles because it uses a few various materials that are harmful to the environment. By shifting the packing materials from Polythene and polypropylene as well as other unrecyclable plastics to cardboard and other recyclable materials. In addition, I've made the decision to kind of refresh the design at the same time.
Thai cuisine, from where Tom Yam originally came, is renowned for its hot and sour characteristics as well as the aromatic herbs and spices that are used to make the soup. The packaging's primary hue is red, with a dark blue accent. In design, the colors yellow and orange are used to evoke feelings of hunger. While Thailand's flag serves as the primary source of inspiration for the red and blue. In order to give the design a more "vintage" appearance, a texture is employed to set the visual tone and affect how it looks and feels. Additionally, it serves to draw interest in the design. Excessive line art is used to produce an illustration style that is influenced by traditional Thai culture paintings and artwork.
